Flexibility: TPE maintains its shape while allowing repeated bending and stretching due to its dual-phase structure, where the soft elastomeric domains provide elasticity and the hard thermoplastic domains retain form. The flexibility supports applications requiring comfort, dynamic movement, and impact absorption.
Elastic Recovery: TPE exhibits elastic recovery after deformation because the physical cross-links formed by thermoplastic domains allow the material to return to its original shape without permanent distortion. The behavior improves durability in applications subject to repeated mechanical stress.
Processability: A TPE material is processed through standard thermoplastic techniques (injection molding, extrusion, and blow molding). Their melt-processable nature supports efficient manufacturing and minimizes material waste.
Chemical Resistance: TPE materials exhibit moderate to high resistance to oils, acids, and cleaning agents, though the exact level of resistance depends on the specific TPE family (TPE-U or TPE-V). The properties of TPE rubber support its use in applications exposed to mild chemicals or cleaning environments.


Soft Touch Surface: TPE provides a smooth and comfortable texture. The surface quality supports ergonomic designs in consumer and medical products.
Recyclability: TPEs can be reprocessed several times with minimal degradation in mechanical performance, supporting material reuse and sustainable manufacturing practices.
Color and Hardness Customization: TPE is formulated in different colors and hardness levels. Its customization supports branding and functional requirements across product lines.
Low-Temperature Performance: TPE materials retain flexibility at low temperatures, typically remaining functional down to -40°C depending on formulation, making them suitable for outdoor and refrigerated environments
Limitations in High Heat: TPEs soften or lose mechanical stability under continuous exposure to high temperatures as their thermoplastic domains begin to melt or relax, limiting their use in high-heat or load-bearing thermal applications.
Application of TPE
Automotive Interior and Exterior Parts
Applied in side steps, interior gaskets, windshield seals, sealing strips, and floor mats.
Adhesive Overmolding
Applied in handles and casters. The products have a soft touch, and the handles are non-slip in both wet and dry conditions.
Electronics and Appliances
Applied in watches, wristbands, connectors, shock-absorbing gaskets, sealing gaskets, and cable sheaths.
Daily Necessities
It can be directly injection molded or co-injected with other plastic materials. Applications include folding basins, buckets, toothbrushes, furniture leg protectors, and gas masks.
Construction Seals
It has excellent weather resistance and elasticity, commonly used in door and window sealing strips.
Industrial Equipment
It has good low-temperature resistance and excellent mechanical strength, commonly used in equipment gaskets and similar applications.

Thermoplastic Polyurethanes (TPU)
Thermoplastic polyurethanes (TPU) are a class of TPEs that are widely used in the footwear and sports equipment industries. TPUs are known for their excellent abrasion resistance, high tensile strength, and good flexibility. They are also resistant to oil, grease, and chemicals, making them ideal for use in outdoor applications.
Thermoplastic Vulcanizates (TPV)
Thermoplastic vulcanizates (TPV) are a class of TPEs that are widely used in the automotive and construction industries. TPVs are known for their excellent weather resistance, high tensile strength, and good processability. They are also resistant to oil, grease, and chemicals, making them ideal for use in harsh environments.
Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomers (TPEE)
Thermoplastic polyester elastomers (TPEE) are a class of TPEs that are widely used in the medical and consumer goods industries. TPEEs are known for their excellent chemical resistance, high tensile strength, and good flexibility. They are also resistant to UV radiation and aging, making them ideal for use in outdoor applications.
Thermoplastic Polyamides (TPA)
Thermoplastic polyamides (TPA) are a class of TPEs that are widely used in the electrical and electronics industries. TPAs are known for their excellent electrical insulation properties, high tensile strength, and good processability. They are also resistant to high temperatures and chemicals, making them ideal for use in harsh environments.
