Types of Electrical Wires
Twisted pair cable
In this kind of cable, two cables are twisted together, which helps minimize noise to improve signal quality. It is often used in industries like telecommunications, sound engineering and entertainment.
Multi-conductor cable
As the name implies, a multi-conductor cable groups conductors together. It also insulates them from each other to reduce interference. These are also good for signal quality, making them popular in communications installations.


Coaxial cable
Coaxial cables are made up of a solid inner conductor and are surrounded by an outer foil conductor. Both are separated from each other with an insulating dielectric and further protected by layers of insulation. They are commonly used in the broadcasting industry for telecommunications signals.
Fiber-optic cable
Fiber-optic cable uses optical fibers instead of traditional conductors. These fibers are very thin and made from glass or plastic. Through light travel, they can carry more information faster than their metal counterparts, but they cannot transmit power.
White insulation: Typically considered neutral but can sometimes be used as a hot lead in certain situations, such as switch loops. In existing wiring jobs, white wires may also be marked with black or red to indicate that they are now hot wire.
Green insulation and bare copper: Ground wire.
Black insulation: Hot wire for switches and outlets.
Red insulation: Hot wire for switch legs and hardwired smoke detectors.

Safety Precautions To Be Followed While Installation
Proper Installation Techniques- It's really important to install electrical wiring and cables correctly. If they're not installed right, it can cause problems like inefficiency or even dangerous electrical fires. Always follow the instructions from the manufacturer and obey local building codes and the National Electrical Code (NEC). Grounding and Bonding- Grounding and bonding are crucial for safety. Grounding gives electricity a safe way to go into the ground if something goes wrong, preventing shocks and fires. Bonding connects metal parts so electricity flows smoothly. Both of these are very important for keeping your electrical system safe.
