In the rail transit sector, as of December 31, 2025, a total of 54 cities across 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), along with the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, had put into operation 343 urban rail transit lines, covering 11,710.3 km with 6,680 stations. In 2025 alone, 18 new lines and 32 new sections were added, contributing an additional 764.7 km of operating mileage. The continuous expansion and enhancement of rail transit networks have generated substantial demand for medium- and low-voltage power cables as well as communication cables, bringing stable incremental growth to the wire and cable industry.

In the digital economy sector, the ongoing deployment of 5G base stations and the expansion of data centers continue to drive demand for high-end products such as intelligent cables and high-speed communication cables. For instance, 5G infrastructure requires large volumes of low-loss, anti-interference communication cables, while the increasing power density in data centers is accelerating demand for high-voltage DC cables and fire-resistant cables.

By early 2025, the total number of 5G base stations in China reached 4.25 million, representing a 25.85% increase from 3.377 million at the beginning of 2024. By the end of 2025, this number had grown to 4.838 million, with an average of 34.4 base stations per 10,000 people, exceeding the "14th Five-Year Plan" target by 8.4 stations. This rapid expansion has effectively stimulated further growth in the communication cable market.
